What DAFZ licenses
DAFZ issues trade, e-commerce, service and industrial licences (the industrial one covers light manufacturing, packaging and assembly), a general trading licence, and single and multi-family office licences. Freelancers can take its Talent Pass licence, and technology start-ups can join its Scality Global programme.
Three choices set your price
DAFZ builds a setup in three steps: the licence, the company type and the space. A free zone company takes 1 to 50 shareholders with share capital from AED 1, a public limited company has no shareholder limit, and a foreign company can open a branch with no share capital at all.
The space is an office, a warehouse or industrial unit, or cold storage, and the lease is signed before the keys are handed over. Tell us the activity and the visas you need, and we price the three together.
Working on the Dubai mainland

Can a DAFZA company work on the Dubai mainland?
Yes, through DAFZ's dual licence with Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism, which lets a DAFZ company hold a mainland licence and operate from its DAFZ premises without a separate mainland office.
Does DAFZA have a freelance licence?
